CIGNA Corporate Business Travel Plan

For Companies Based in Europe

The CIGNA Corporate Business Travel Plan is arranged by travel insurance experts Crispin Speers & Partners and underwritten at Lloyd's of London. When the employer takes out a travel plan CSP will issue a certificate wording, evidence of insurance for each employee. The letter will show the employees name with the company's address, a medical assistance card for each employee, with details on who to contact in the event of a claim, and a debit note for the total premium due. The client will either be told by CIGNA, the other broker involved or CSP that they have cover in force.

This plan provides accident and illness coverage with medical benefits for members while they are on approved business trips outside their country of residence or permanent assignment.

In addition to accident and medical coverage, the plan pays benefits for lost or delayed luggage, loss of business equipment, delayed or missed departure, travel disruption, and similar occurrences. Any loss or damage to baggage etc. whilst in the custody of carriers (airline, bus company etc.) must be notified immediately in writing to such carriers but in any event within 3 days and a property irregularity report obtained. Any loss of money, baggage and/or personal effects must be reported to the police within 24 hours of discovery and a written report obtained.
